Dr. Vu Le has mastered the effortless nightguard workflow. See the signs of bruxism that you and your team should look out for. Dr. Le will demonstrate how to upload the scans into several different online design services and design a splint utilizing AI in just minutes! Vu Le\, DDS is a general dentist in Foothill Ranch\, CA. He is a pioneer in dental 3d printing and holds two US parents for his breakthrough photography system\, the VPR. This course is sponsored by Sprintray and CAD-Ray. Dr. Le designs\, manufactures and sells the VPR using 3d printing. \nAbout the Instructor \nVu Le\, DDS is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He hold two patents for the VPR\, a groundbreaking lighting system for smartphone cameras. The VPR is designed and manufactured over thousands of hours of 3d printing.  He is a longtime member of the Sprintray printing community\, and inventor of the VuBase printing raft and several other calibration design tools.  Most importantly\, he is a husband\, dad\, and small town dentist just like anyone else. \nDisclosures\nThis course is made possible by an honorarium from CAD-RAY and Sprintray. The instructor has previously received honorariums\, sponsorships\, and printing supplies from Sprintray\, Inc.  He has no ownership interest in CAD-RAY or Sprintray\, Inc. \n\n  \nDr. Andrew Ip:  Chairside dental digital design and 3D printing   \nAre you sick of waiting for a week or two to get your jobs back from your local lab and then finding out they have lousy margins and/or a poor fit? There has got to be a better (and more efficient) way of doing things! \nWell now there is – discover how simple-to-use software can change your entire workflow – no licence fees\, no lock-in contracts\, no worries. Clinux – a completely open cloud-based platform that caters for chairside use – for the digital dentist\, the trained dental auxiliary\, and any dental team member. \n  \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nCourse objectives \nNot convinced? This is what we’ll go through during the day: \n\nThe advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing dental design\nThe advantages and disadvantages of keeping dental design in-house\nPopular dental design software options and advantages and disadvantages of each\nClinux – an overview of the software\nSingle and multi-unit crown overview – from intraoral scan\, design\nOcclusal splint/nightguard design – from intraoral scan\, design\nPrinting crowns – considerations for printing\, post-print finishing (polishing vs staining)\nPrinting splints – considerations for printing\, post-print finishing (polishing vs glazing)\n\n  \nAbout the speaker \nNerd\, dweeb\, freak – Dr Andrew Ip has been called it all. \nExcept now geek is chic. \nWhat was once a simple hobby now takes up a significant portion of his daily work. \nHandy Andy is a Sydney-based private general dentist who presents regularly on dental 3D printing. He achieved Membership in General Dental Practice with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2017 and obtained a Graduate Diploma of Orthodontics at James Cook University in 2019 and a Masters of Science in Implantology and Dental Surgery in 2022. He has recently obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Dentistry with the International Digital Dentistry Academy. \nDr Ip has been teaching dentists and technicians how to integrate additive technologies to their workplaces for several years and is a Key Opinion Leader for several digital dentistry-related companies. When he’s not designing a surgical guide\, printing a splint or polishing a printed crown\, you can find him glued to a screen designing printable table organisers or nesting a helmet for his cats in a slicer. \nPlease Share this:TweetWhatsAppRedditTelegramEmailPrintLike this:Like Loading...
